The importance of sustainability in our industry…

The issue of sustainability in fruit juice is broad. It falls across the following areas:

• Growing (sustainability at farm-level both environmentally and socially)

• Processing

• Packaging

• Transportation

• Distribution

• Consumer

To support our members with their sustainability activity, the BFJA has produced the following resources:

The BFJA supports Juice CSR from our sister organisation, the European Fruit Juice Association (AIJN).

The BFJA supports other organisations in their work including the British Soft Drinks Association, the Food and Drink Federation and the British Retail Consortium. We welcome the government’s five-year environment plan and the latest Courtauld Commitment to reduce plastic waste.
